He is, in the words of Buckminster Fuller, a trim tab, he moves things in ways that makes big things happen. He is a cool guy who grabs hold of a problem and gets it fixed. For Bradenton, he has also been the lead cheerleader and evangelist, passionate about make Bradenton a better place.
David has done a phenomenal job breathing life into Downtown Bradenton. He truly understands how to coordinate the relationship between government and the business community in bringing worthwhile services to the residents of the city and vacationers.
On behalf of the people of Florida's 16th Congressional District, I thank you for your dedication and commitment to the City of Bradenton and Manatee County during your four years with the Bradenton Downtown Development Authority. I commend you for the many projects you saw to completion, particularly the development of the Bradenton Riverwalk, the renovation of the Historic Hampton Inn and Suites, and the 2015 Innaugural Bradenton Riverwalk Regatta. All of these accomplishments have increased the quality of life for local residents, brought additional people downtown, and helped grow the local economy. I also appreciate your enthusiasm as a member of the winning team to secure the 2017 World Rowing Championships and your involvement with the Ft. Hamer Rowing Facility. Furthermore, I applaud you for your involvement in establishing three high school rowing teams in Manatee County. You should be proud of your public service. I wish you all the best in the private sector. In the meantime, don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance with any Federal matter. Sincerely, Vern Buchanan, Member of Congress
I would like to offer my congratulations on your achievements as Executive Director of the Bradenton Downtown Development Authority. Your success on the Riverwalk seems very impressive, considering the ten years of debate surrounding the project. Additionally, your handling of the "Pink Palace" seems quickly and admirably handled. I myself, have read in the newspapers of the restaurants relocating in downtown. It seems as if you are truly renovating the area and providing it with it's own appeal. I am sure the entire community will the the better for it. I wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors! Please don't hesitate to contact me if I or my office can be of assistance to you in any way, and again, congratulations!
I want to congratulation both you and the Downtown Development Authority for your excellent efforts that led to the Hampton Inn. It is a great accomplishment, particularly considering the numerous prior attempts to save and restore the property.
David... Thanks for your hard work!
